History Day and Antique & Artisan Market
September 19th, 2026 | 11am to 4pm
Join us for a day of historical celebration, artisan shopping and community fun! This is a free, family friendly living history event, raffle and artisan market!
History Day is located at Ela Park and Lion’s Park in downtown Lake Zurich.
Ela Township has a rich and diverse historical story to tell and celebrate dating back to the 1830s. Come listen and experience a flashback in time during our annual, Ela Township History Day festival each year. Bring the family to learn about the founding pioneers of our area and the industries they began. Venture into the Civil War reenactment camp and learn about the life of a Union soldier and about the many residents of Ela Township who served in the Civil War.
Dress-up and costumes are encouraged and welcome for our day of Ela township historical commemoration. There will be some free games and treats for kids.
